The location was remote, so close to the beach/ yacht marinas, the nearby restaurants, and the centre. I enjoyed a savoury and tasty breakfast with wine.
Well, Wi-Fi was bad.

My stay at Chateau Le Vergel Authenac was absolutely mind-blowing! The duplex apartment was jaw-droppingly well equipped, with an excellent bed and shower. Despite being in the countryside, there were super cool restaurants just a short drive away. It was the perfect base for exploring the area. The host, Patrick, was beyond amazing - attentive when needed, but also giving us the space to fully enjoy our break. The swimming pool was incredible, with exceptional views. I can't wait to stay here again!

The guest rooms at Chateau Le Vergel Authenac are so cozy and comfortable, they make you feel right at home. I loved the separate living area in the suite, perfect for relaxing and unwinding after a long day of exploring. The two terraces gave me the opportunity to enjoy some fresh air and take in the beautiful views. The en suite bathroom with a bath and shower was pure luxury, allowing me to pamper myself. the room design and amenities made my stay truly enjoyable.
The only thing I didn't quite fancy was the tile/marble floor in the studio. It was not my style, but I understand that others might find it elegant and chic.

We had a lovely romantic getaway nestled in the French countryside. The accommodations were well equipped with modern amenities and a large comfortable bed. The location was perfect for exploring nearby medieval towns and sipping on some delicious local wine. We also enjoyed the peacefulness of being surrounded by nature and the charming ambiance of the rustic garden.
While the setting was idyllic, the road leading up to the property was a bit rough and in need of repair. there were some minor renovations taking place which led to debris around the property.
